Implementation

Pre project Phase

This would include all clients-company negotiations depending upon the size, criticality and involvement and finalizing all installation costs and pricing quote given to the client. Site Survey and a part of the Project phase could extend to this phase depending upon the surety of business. All Customization needs could even be finalized at this stage. SoftWorld would prepare customized Demos depending upon the requirements and customization of the application that is required.

Project Phase - One

Finalize the Project Commencement

In an Ideal situation, a project is declared commenced as soon as the Memorandum of Understanding is signed or a sales agreement is finalized. This would include a detailed Demo to the User Level Persons in the project for final approval from the client side. Technical and Project wise information would be passed on to the client on priority basis

Project Start

This stage would be a detailed Date fixing exercise including all project related activities. Here an approximation of the Man-Day distribution is finalized. All days of the project is tagged and approved by SoftWorld Infosys Project Team after studying the availability of the Team. This stage is critical so as to finalize all dates and all further activities would be attached on this backbone.

Site Survey

This includes a visit of the project team along with the Business development team to compare and add to the simple site survey done prior to the commencement. To provide documentation to collect the details based on which customization, Networking, training and commissioning could be described and its details for the Project Team.

Inspection of Detailed requirements

Here all requirements collected from the Site Survey is studied and critically examined to modify finally any man day changes or any large modifications on dates that has been finalized in

Project Start

All details collected, as the project team, which calls for SoftWorld presence at least for the first project, would study requisites. SoftWorld Infosys would also provide necessary knowledge base for this phase as in write ups from the second project on after understanding the geographic standards and requisites, A demo version of the Software could be installed on the client site during the end of this phase. Both the parties should work hand in hand at this stage and the number of man-days for this depends entirely on the size and complexity of the installation.

Inclusion of those requirements in the project

SoftWorld would act according to the level of customization that is required and the man-days would be intimated to the client. Customization is done at our Labs at Cochin, unless the client is open to bear additional charges for our programming team to be present on site. Certain amount of customization is possible through parameterization of the database. This would be done at the client site. The Bridge between parameterization and customization would narrow as more customer requirements are fulfilled and needs to be really understood by all Parties. Man-Days depend project to project.

Training details Finalized

SoftWorld Infosys would be responsible to convey to the client through you how best training need to be conducted .All materials and handouts would be passed on to you as soft / hard copies to facilitate a formal training schedule. The same Dates needs to be discussed even before the project finalization stage so that the costs are predictable and are looked at in the quotation.

Project Phase - Two

Installation Phase

This phase is true coordination between the Client – Projects – Business development – Installer – Client – SoftWorld. All Customized patches are updated. Coordination is high between the installing team, EDP Dept and Networking Company.

All requirements decided are implemented on site

The Customization of the requirements would be implemented on site at this stage with the consultation of the users and the IT department of the client. This phase should be made as early as possible compared to the live date to avoid any unforeseen parameters.

Training conducted

Training would need a strategy and this has been formulated from SoftWorld Infosys. Through and quality of training is stressed on to enhance the database vigor and vive. The three tires of training could be

  • User level.
  • Middle Management Level.
  • Top Management Level.
  • IT Manager Level.

Commencement of Warranty

This stage would start as soon as the installation of Server and Nodes are configured.

Project Phase - Three

Final Modifications and customization

All customization would call for a close at this stage. As the project team is responsible to clear all necessary data and include all required features and modifications that has been asked for by the client. The client would have the final opportunity to recommend modifications. The completed blue print would be passed on to the project team from our labs to be implemented.

Live Cover of the Project

This would be the real time posting on a date that has been fixed; before which a mock run is recommended.

Project Phase - Four

Review of the installation

This phase would call SoftWorld onto one table to review the project.

Project Phase - Five

Project Close

The project close could call the client to specify that the installation has been completed to their expectations and this would call for a project close. Project Managers, systems installer and the Business Development Person would be in the meeting.

Commencement of Post Installation Support

SoftWorld would supervise the support system and all the necessary techniques for support would be passed to the E.D.P of the client.
